Hollywood stunner Kate Beckinsale has revealed that she would love to play Catwoman in the upcoming ‘The Dark Knight’ sequel.

Speculation is rife that the role of the villainous Catwoman in the follow-up would go to Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie, but Beckinsale is obdurate that she would do justice to the role.

The ‘Underworld’ actress says that she’s determined to take up more action roles including the villainous role of ‘Catwoman’ opposite Christian Bale, reports the Daily Express.

When asked about taking up the Catwoman role, the babe told MTV.com: “Absolutely, that would be awesome. I’d love to do that.”

“One of the things I’ve done wrong with my career is not have a massive game plan for it. I was very surprised to ever find myself even considered for an action movie.

“I’m like the literary, academic geek who’s not very good at sports, so it was amazingly shocking that anyone would ever do that. I like to be surprised,” she added.
