• Kate Beckinsale to appear on Ellen Show

Kate Beckinsale will discuss her new movie, Whiteout, Sept. 10 on the Ellen DeGeneres Show.

“She’s in the upcoming thriller Whiteout, which takes place in Antarctica, but I’m more than happy to just turn up the air conditioner for her,” DeGeneres wrote in a message to her fans.

Kate portrays Carrie Stetko in the movie. Stetko is a U.S. marshal trying to bring a killer to justice on the eve of a six-month sunset on the continent.

The movie is scheduled for release in the U.S. on Sept. 11.

Kate’s latest hit movie is Underworld: Rise of the Lycans.

She is best known for her roles as Nurse Lt. Evelyn Johnson in Pearl Harbor, Anna Valerious in Van Helsing, Ava Gardner in The Aviator, and Selene in Underworld and Underworld: Evolution.
